*To derive a mathematical expression for an electric potential energy of a system of point charges and electric dipole in an electric field.
* T understand Gauss's theorem and apply it to find electric field due to an infinitely long straight wire, uniformly charged infinite plane sheet and uniformly charged thin spherical shell.
